Good day all chess teachers/coaches!
Cape Town Metro Schools Chess are excited to kick off the 2026 term 2 schools league registration process.
Participating schools will be divided into groups of 6 schools based on their circuit, teams entered and location and will play a round-robin against each school with the top schools in each group being invited to the respective District Top Schools in term 3 to earn the right to represent their district at the Western Cape Top Schools taking place later in term 3.
The term 2 leagues will comprise mixed and girls teams in under 7, under 9, under 11, under 13, under 15, under 17 and under 19.

Note that it is your responsibility to do the following before 27 March 2026:
- Read the attached league registration and rules document;
- Enter your school details on the league registration link per attached brochure;
- Make payment as indicated in the registration form;
- Email proof of payment to the contact per the attached brochure, and
- Join our league WhatsApp group for educators and coaches

Please note that the entry fee is R600 per school payable by 27 March 2026 and is for as many individual teams as you wish to enter and also includes the term 3 league.
