Registration has opened in all four Cape Town Metro Schools Districts for the 2026 Individual Schools Chess Trials taking place on 07-08 February 2026 and 14-15 February 2026!
These district trials serves as an important opening to achieve district, regional and provincial colours for schools chess!! The top learners at these district trials will be selected to represent their district at the Cape Town Metro Schools Individual Trials taking place between 06 – 08 March 2026!!
Players are encouraged to register immediately for the respective district as spaces are limited. Registration can be done via the registration link by the school, parent, educator or coach. Payment of R100 entry fee must be paid and proof of payment sent before the respective deadlines.
Note: Homeschooled learners may enter the trials in the district of their nearest school.
